Premium Membership

Nexus Sites are owned and paid for solely by the owner of the site, Robin, and not helped or financially supported by any video game developer, publisher or major company. We're serious about how we do things and make use of 8 servers and 2 SANs on two seperate continents to provide the best possible experience with the best possible backup redundancy for those bad days. The Nexus Sites costs a lot of money to run and maintain and while they generate some revenue from advertising found across the site, they're also supported by generous members of the community, known as Premium Members, who are willing to pay for additional features on the site. Without both the advertising and Premium Member revenue streams Nexus Sites would not be able to continue and develop.

Premium features

We like Premium Members because they really help to support these sites, so in return we like to give something back to them. Premium Members get a better browsing experience on the Nexus with added features that normal members cannot access.

Uncapped file downloads
Download from the file servers at the maximum speed possible while normal members are capped to downloading at 500kb/sec to reduce congestion.

Premium only file server
Download from two file servers (one in the US, one in the EU) available just for them that no normal members can download from. No connection saturation.

Download manager support
Download from the premium member file server using download managers with full download pausing/resuming and multi-threading/tasking capabilities for top speeds.

No advertising
Premium members will never see any advertisements on any of the Nexus Sites or forums.

Comment control
Moderate your own file and image comment topics by immediately hiding from view any comments you dislike.

Notifications
Get notified (like you would on social networking sites like Facebook!) when a new file is uploaded to your tracked files or someone comments on one of your files.

Result preferences
Premium members can choose to increase the number of files or comments shown on individual pages.

Full download history
Access to your full download history on the site while normal members can only see files downloaded over the current month.

Private message capacity
All premium members can store 5 times as many private messages. The total archive size is 500 compared to 100 for normal members.

Supporter-only Image Share section
An image share section for Supporters only. The terms and conditions for this section are different and more open and liberal than the normal image share section.

Go Premium

Becoming a Premium Member is easy and you should be automatically upgraded to a Premium Member once your payment is processed. We process Premium Memberships through our forums and we use Pay Pal as our transaction processor; they're fast, safe and secure and in most countries you don't need a Pay Pal account in order to buy Premium Membership.

If you opt to buy a set time of Premium Membership (i.e. not a lifetime membership) then your account will automatically be moved in to the Supporter group and you'll continue to receive some benefits over normal members
