How to Mod DMC 5 Textures with focus on recoloring

This guide is copy and pasted from the guide I wrote on the Steam platform. Please note that links change frequently, and you may have to search the web for the most recent versions.

I am sharing it here to better help those who are interested in recoloring on their own.

Overview

I wrote a lot here to be thorough. Here's the basic idea:

1. Extract the packed textures from the game.
2. Load up a texture you wish to change in Neosis, and export that texture to a workable .dds format
3. Load that .dds in Photoshop, make your changes!
4. Save the file as a .dds
5. Edit the file's hex data header to read as a .tex file
6. Rename the .dds file to a .tex.11 file
7. Put that renamed file into a new mod directory...

A good italian bread I like to do

500 grams of flour
300/320 ml of water (that is because I use a low quality common flour, if you have a good one, you can add more)
12 grams of salt
5 grams of dry leaven

Mix all dry ingredients and then pour the water in
Mix it with your hands until it's all homogeneous
Let it rest for 30 minutes
Fold the bread 10 times without tearing it
Let it rest for 10 minutes and then repeat this process more 3/4 times always between 10 minute intervals
Put the bread inside a bowl with a bit of flour poured in, the ideal bowl would be one that keeps the shape of the bread
Let it rest for 30 minutes and turn the oven on 250°C/482°F with an iron pan inside it
Put the bread inside the pan and make a x slice on the top

Installation guide

Before installing
please ensure you have the latest version of devil may cry 5 with no mods installed by examining your Game Folder. To navigate to your Game Folder, right click on Devil May Cry 5 in your steam library, go to manage, and then click “browse local files”.

Please note that if you have a pirated copy of the game, we will be unable to provide support as your executable may differ significantly enough to prevent the trainer from working correctly.

In the window that opens, you should verify that the contents of your folder match the one in the video. In particular:

check that you do not have folders called “Collab Trainer”, “natives”, or “reframework” in your folder.

Mod intro first edition (ridiculously long)

Update: v2.1 released! Massive overhaul of perceptual 3D'ness (including making 2D textures look 3D) as the main focus of this mod.

Inspired by Shadow of the Conqueror a fantasy novel written by Shad M. Brooks. Now you can play as Daylen Namaran and show how good you are with the sword.I like the book and its worldbuilding. While playing DMC5 I made a connection that Nero is a perfect fit for a Daylen mod. Superhuman strength, master of the swords and uses an offhand "gauntlet". DT can be interpreted as Light Binding. ect. So I started to make my first mod.
And after 5 Months here I am.Hope you like it. ...
