My first mod

I really hope I made this right, it works in my game and I have loads of scripted overhauls for NPCs like RDO, More to Say, Gesture Animation Remix, Immersive Interactions and more, but everything seems to be compatible on my end. Please let me know if I've uploaded this correctly (I'm supposed to compress the file right???).

This tutorial will allow you to patch items from other mods.

How to use IED (for the purpose of this tutorial)

First, you'll need to access the IED interface while in game, the default key is "Backspace", and navigate to "Tools>Settings" using the bar at the top.

Both are standalone, the bow is craftable in wood section and the arrows in silver section of blacksmith.

How to make patches

Preface: I use a spreadsheet to keep track of all the information when I'm working on this. I've uploaded a copy here. I'll be making references to it throughout this article, so that you can refer to it and follow along more easily.


Ingredients
Making a patch to add ingredients from other mods isn't that difficult. I'll explain it here in a step-by-step process.

How to make a FluffWorks patch from scratch - no Creation Kit or dependencies

I had to deconstruct the FluffWorks mod to figure out how it works, and I must say it's very clever. This article by SkySinclaire explains how to make custom texture, but it only works for creatures with existing models. Even if you have the right texture, the model itself is what gives it the floof.

If you're just retexturing a vanilla animal that's included in the base FluffWorks mod (or any of its patches), that's all you need to worry about as the hard part's been done for you. But if you have a custom creature model like mine, that won't work. Here's how I did the fluffy possums:
